Thank you for your interest in the Austin Children’s Choir. We are an
organization that serves children age 6-18 who have a love for singing.
We couple music literacy and music education with performances that
enhance the life of our community.
The award winning Austin Children’s Choir is currently in its 24th Season.
In 2008 we were awarded the Austin Critic’s Award for the Best Choral
Performance for our World Premiere Performance of The Odyssey.
The audition lasts 15-20 minutes and is friendly and welcoming. Parents
are encouraged to attend to observe our teaching style. We explain
everything throughout our meeting together.
Our weekly two-hour rehearsal takes place on Thursdays at St. Matthews
Episcopal Church, corner of Steck and Mesa, caddy corner from
Anderson High School. The time of rehearsal depends on the age and
placement of your child 4:30-6:30/5:00-7:00/6:00-8:00.
We can set up an audition if you would like. We are currently holding
auditions for placement in the second semester of our current season.
Our membership cap is 75 children.
